Laurie Weltz is an award-winning writer, director and editor. Her first film, Wrestling with Alligators, premiered at Sundance, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. The film was released theatrically and on video and television. Laurie’s second feature film, About Scout, was recently released both theatrically and on VOD and DVD. Based on her award-winning script (PAGE and Champion Screenwriting Awards), the film stars Ellen Burstyn, Danny Glover, Jane Seymour, Nikki Reed, India Ennenga and James Frecheville.

Coodie Simmons, Chike Ozah

Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah, (aka, Coodie and Chike) are the talented, award-winning, and directorial duo behind work featured in high profile outlets and venues including ESPN, MTV and at the American Black Film Festival. Their latest project, The First to Do It – a documentary on the life of Early Lloyd, the first African American to play in the NBA – premiered at the NBA All-Star Weekend. Axel Baumann

Axel Baumann is an Emmy Award-winning cinematographer. He lives in New York City and has been shooting for 20 years. In 2005, Axel received his first Emmy nomination for Liberia: An Uncivil War, directed by Jonathan Stack and broadcasted on Discovery/Times. In 2008, Axel was awarded an Emmy for Carrier, a 10-part series for PBS on the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, produced by Icon Films and directed by Maro Chermayeff. Recently, Axel completed cinematography on Herb and Dorothy, an audience award winner at Silverdocs released by Arthouse Films, as well as a biography on Thomas Jefferson for the History Channel.

Eduardo Sanchez

Eduardo Sanchez was born in Cuba in 1968. He studied Television Production at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD and received his BA in Motion Picture Production from the University of Central Florida in 1994. It was at UCF where Eduardo met his future Haxan Films partners and in 1998 he co-wrote, co-edited and co-directed THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. He also designed and built the original BLAIRWITCH.COM website and co-directed the TV special CURSE OF THE BLAIR WITCH for the SciFi Channel.

Jack Zeman (1945-2008) was a Broadway playwright/director. His first play Past Tense, was Pulitzer-nominated. It was awarded the Stanley Drama Award.
